About Britta

The original Britta Blvd began in 1996 as Britta Peterson’s personal website that grew over 15 years into a showcase for edible art and theme parties complete with elaborate decorations and fun recipes. The new Britta Blvd houses party ideas, recipes, costumes and projects of all sorts, but BrittaDotCom at www.britta.com is still the personal website with stories and photos of worldwide travels, family, friends, music, and the Brittas of the World page. Hopefully you will enjoy reading!

Britta caught the international travel bug after her first overseas trip to the USSR at the tender age of 18. Since then she has taken after her grandmother and taken advantage of all opportunities for travel that have come her way, eventually demolishing a hard-sided suitcase from overuse! She enjoys writing about her travels around the world as well as to visit her extended family, and you can read about her creative and crafty side on Britta Blvd or visit her Etsy store.  She currently drives around the California Bay Area in her custom-painted teal Miata convertible, and you will most definitely read about the exploits of her current black cats, Obsidian & Midnight, as well as historic entries for previous black kitties Kylie the Kitty, and the dearly-departed Dark Duo Ebony & Onyx.

  1. Hello, this is in regards to the Harry Potter parties you have hosted. You are the only one who I have found who has referenced bulk Berti Botts, I was wondering what store specifically in Fairfield you had purchased from so that I can contact them. Thank you for your time.

    • It was the Jelly Belly factory headquarters in Fairfield, CA. When I tried they would not sell Bertie Botts in bulk via mail order or internet, only in person at the company store. However that was back in 2002, so they might have changed policies by now. Good luck!

  2. Just wanna tell that this is extremely helpful, Thanks for taking your time to write this.

  3. I am constantly browsing online for articles that can aid me. Thx!

  4. You sold me some latex foam pieces for my seven of nine costume some years back and I’ve always remembered you when planning my annual Halloween party. I got so excited when I saw these Halloween themed nail wraps by Jamberry and I immediately thought of you. Of course, I figured you’d love the teal sparkly ones too.. remembering the story of how you painted your car. Still — I wanted to share one of the few Halloween styles I’ll be wearing this year from my website: http://andicon.jamberrynails.net/product/fright-night#.VCXdnf6BFYQ

  5. Well that’s what I get for just ASSUMING I knew what the URL for water filter information might be.
