Thanks to I have discovered I am The Cranberry Sauce…heh! Funny about the picture, though…I hear my dad’s mom always tried to get the sauce out of the can perfectly intact still in cylindrical form…thank goodness that tradition didn’t go any farther down the line! 😉

Everyone have a tasty time today…enjoy the splurging with delicious food!

My PoA DVD just showed up…just in the nick of time to take with me this weekend…woohoo!

I can’t WAIT to pause those Marauder Map credits in widescreen…now we can finally show those who missed it in the theatre the couple making out in the closet…hahaha…

Busy weekend coming up…but I hope the busy-ness will help get my mind off some emotional chaos in my life…we’ll see if it works.

Wednesday night I will drive to Sac, fully packed with the normal weekend away stuff plus

  • camcorder, DV tapes, external hard drive, blank DVDs and all cables since I need to dub down my grandmother’s 90th birthday party footage. I’m hoping to throw it together in Final Cut Pro & iDVD, then from the DVD to a VHS copy for the non-DVD crowd of relatives – wish me luck!
  • cake decorating supplies including gum paste and silver and gold luster dust for the “Snow White and the Seventh Birthday” cake for Saturday
  • costume supplies to be the Wicked Queen from Snow White (I was cast thusly so I accepted)

    Friday is very full, since I will be getting my Christmas tree at Apple Hill near Placerville (annual tradition), finding or making a crown for my costume, making swedish meatballs with my mom, making pickled salmon, then making the birthday cake…whew! Somehow I don’t think I’ll be getting any work done on the Halloween webpages yet, and here I thought I could have them up Thanksgiving weekend…ah, well…I drive back on Saturday by way of the birthday party in Davis, complete with the tree lashed securely to the top of the car with finished cake inside…this has become a tradition lately as well…

    My Prisoner of Azkaban DVD is still on its way from Amazon (only $18!) so my mom won’t get to watch it until perhaps Christmas…she’s waited this long, she can wait a bit longer…however my The Office: The Complete Collection arrived on Friday – woohoo! Not that I haven’t seen all of it already, but the collector in me is satisfied to have the box set… :)

    To avoid things I really should have been doing on Sunday evening, I was sick of my cheesy grin on my icon with the teal dress & pearls and inspired by animated user icon, so I dug through my pix to find something more interesting…granted these are from 4-5 years ago, but I haven’t really changed too much except for my hair lately…I still love the black wool cloak I made and wear it whenever I can get away with it… 😉

    So, what do you think? Too grrl-pretentious or just showing a bit more personality?

    Interesting…I’ve visited more states than I’d realized, but still sorely lacking in a lot of the country…

    Of course my worldwide travel is also sorely lacking!

    Funny how just visiting a couple cities in a geographically large country (Russia, Canada, Mexico) make such a difference and artificially inflate how far I’ve traveled…don’t worry, I still have plenty of the world to visit! Someday I’ll get there… :)

    I’m at my parents’ house tonight…Doug’s 40th birthday cake is finished for the party in Davis tomorrow afternoon, but my dad’s Windows laptop somehow spontaneously decided to connect but not route with the AirPort base station since I configured it last time, and it’s still defeating me…so I’m giving up now & going to sleep…good night!
