Dressing decently is always a given, since no one should look like a complete & utter slob, along with "smelling good" & "feeling good", but dressing "up" for the sake of them only is giving the wrong impression that we are willing to give in to their version of corporate culture...that is part of the problem: they do not understand the differences in Silicon Valley corporate culture & are trying to impose their Denver, large company corporate culture on us... What we need to do is still present all our concerns and do it in an exemplary manner with complete professionalism...then they will understand what the majority of Silicon Valley already understands: it's what's inside that counts, not the appearance. (How many fairy tales & fables in cultures all around the world have the same moral as that? Don't you remember Beauty & the Beast? It really does warm my heart to know that somewhere in the world, here in Silicon Valley, people really can look past the appearances & recognize the value inside... :) As for me, I am wearing my Quality shirt...my hair will probably cover up the joke, or I'll be wearing my blazer for warmth anyway, but _I_ will know what I'm wearing... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Britta Peterson nc1421@noc.netcom.net Network Administrator, Network Operations Center ICG Communications On Tue, 11 Apr 2000, Jerry Gomez wrote: > Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2000 02:57:42 -0700 (PDT) > From: Jerry Gomez > To: Jeffrey Egli > Cc: noc-staff@noc.icg.net > Subject: Re: Visiting rights, Wed Meeting. > > > Hello everyone, > > > In regards to professional atire.
