          Lost World monolith - front

Here's the twelve-foot tall monolith in the main lobby of Century Complex, Sacramento...I made it out of double-wall corrugated cardboard which I painted to simulate black granite and paper that was also painted and arranged and attached to the cardboard as the rocks jutting out from the "carved" stone face. The leaves are cut out of green butcher paper and shaded around the edges with dark green spray paint. I glued wire to the leaves so I could arrange them more naturally on the monolith...
